Sybase Solutions Corporation (Philippines), the recognized technology leader in cutting edge, cost effective software solutions, ended 2005 on an impressive note with record revenue in excess of $2M. This represents a 40% increase in revenue compared to 2004.
The company attributes this to major contracts with Globe Telecom, Universal Robina Corporation, Sulpicio Lines, Metro North Tollway Corporation, Commission on Audit, DIWA Publishing and other firms.

Database management and application development are just a few of the solutions that Sybase provides in the Philippines. Having stayed in the country for almost 10 years, Sybase has seen a shift from traditional database management to new techniques that involve integrating various non-standard data sources and extending this to the mobile workforce.
To keep pace with the demands of the industry, Sybase has appointed a new management team led by its new president Benjamin Henares formerly of UNISYS and IBM Philippines. Henares brings with him his expertise on software and project development, IT research, market development and sales, IT and communications operations, industry advocacy and project implementation.
While at IBM, Henares was the first software and industry Systems Engineer to market mainframe and midframe software. He was awarded by IBM ASEAN for modifying the first office mail system to include advanced usability features for international corporate usage. His understanding of design, migration, software development and relational databases led IBM to win major accounts in the public sector. While at Unisys, he oversaw the technical and partnership considerations for several BOT projects.
Sybase’s sales director Jose Villanueva was a Senior Account Manager at Oracle Philippines where he grew the PLDT account to become the second largest for the local Oracle operations. He was Business Development Manager at Headstrong and was also an IT Consultant for the Trade and Investment Development Corporation of the Philippines, GSIS, BOI and the Department of Trade and Industry, among others.
Former Sybase Professional Services Manager, Abelardo Talusig has come back from his successful stint in East West Bank and appointed as Professional Services Director. He has extensive experience on Sybase Database Administration, Client/Server application development, Web Application development, Technical Support and Education Services. He is the only Sybase Certified Professional for ASE, Powerbuilder® and Replication Server in the Philippines.
