In a show of force, the 1st Philippine Sybase Users Conference was held last October 20, 2005. Patterned after the annual Sybase Worldwide User Conference, the event featured product updates by Sybase Inc. Asia Pacific Director of Channel Sales Mr. Mehul Rajparia and Solutions Architect, Product Marketing and Evangelist Mr. Ivan Ma.
Attended by around 250 CEOs, CIOs, DBAs and developers, the diverse crowd represented almost 100 different companies.

Highlights of the conference include the launch of several new offerings from Sybase. These include the latest version of our Enterprise Database - ASE 15, a new approach to development using SOA with Sybase Workspace as well as complementary solutions to our Rapid Application Development tool – Powerbuilder.
Major customers Globe Telecom and Jupiter Systems, Inc., among others, presented testimonials on how they use Sybase software to create an information edge.
